Lego Star Wars – Renewed for 10 More Years!

This is probably old news for those of you in the know, but I figured it’d be worth mentioning anyway. On Februrary 13th, 2012, the LEGO Group announced that the Lego Star Wars line has sold over 30 million copies of the four games they’ve released throughout the years.

Additionally, they have renewed their contract with Lucasfilms for another 10 years. The contract will last through 2022. It doesn’t look like the Lego Star Wars line will end anytime soon!

Lego Star Wars 2011 Sets – Savings on Amazon

Currently on Amazon.com, there are several 2011 Lego Star Wars sets that are on sale. For those of you who waited for an opportunity to buy a large set (and by large, I mean in the $50+ range) you wanted on sale, now is one of those opportunities! Here are a view sets you get get fairly significant savings on:

Lego 7930 Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship
MSRP: $49.99
| Amazon: $40.12 (20% savings) | Amazon Sellers: $32.00 (36% savings)

Lego 7931 T-6 Jedi Shuttle
MSRP: $59.99
| Amazon: $53.58 (11% savings) | Amazon Sellers: $45.00 (25% savings)

Lego 10215 UCS Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter
MSRP: $99.99
| Amazon: $74.00 (26% savings) | Amazon Sellers: $74.00 (26% savings)

The prices in red are the prices that the sets were originally sold for. The Amazon prices (in yellow) are the prices Amazon itself charges, as it is shipped from and sold by Amazon. The Amazon seller prices (in green) are the prices various sellers on Amazon charge. Note that although the prices charged by sellers tend to be lower than Amazon itself, the quantity is also more limited, which is why the price fluctuates fairly often. The price listed for the sellers it the lowest in the group, so even if it says something like “23 from new,” that doesn’t mean there are necessarily 23 sellers for whatever price is listed. It goes from the lowest price to the highest.

The Clone Wars – Episode 4.18 – Crisis on Naboo

Tomorrow’s episode, “Crisis on Naboo,” concludes the bounty hunter kidnapping plot arc. In the preview trailer, Bane assigns tasks to each member of the team – and given Rako Hardeen’s accomplishment in killing Obi-Wan Kenobi with only a sniper rifle, he is the designated sniper. That is the worst possible job Obi-Wan could have gotten. It’ll be interesting to see what he does once the operation begins. Don’t miss “Crisis on Naboo,” premiering tomorrow (Friday, February 10th) at 8/7pm CST on Cartoon Network!

Lego Star Wars 2012 Sets – Savings on Amazon

Even though it’s only been slightly over a week since the 2012 Lego Star Wars sets were released, Amazon’s already got some savings for several of the sets. Note that Amazon’s listed prices are still the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP); it’s the sets being sold by vendors that go through Amazon that are offering such savings. This includes:

Lego 9489 Endor Rebel Trooper and Imperial Trooper Battle Pack – $11.99 (MSRP $12.99, ~8% savings)

Lego 9491 Geonosian Cannon – $18.99 (MSRP $19.99, ~5% savings)

Lego 9492 TIE Fighter – $49.99 (MSRP $54.99, ~9% savings)

Lego 9493 X-Wing Starfighter – $55.99 (MSRP $59.99, ~7% savings)

Since these are being sold through vendors and not Amazon itself, there are limited quantities, so act fast!
