BrickWars Sets Description Lego 20212 Star Wars Imperial Shuttle was a Lambda-class T-4a transport shuttle used primarily by the Galactic Empire to transport troops and high-ranking officers. It had a three-wing design, with one wing on top and one off to each side, forming an upside-down Y. The wings on the sides folded upwards as soon as the ship begins landing. The ship required a six personnel crew: a pilot, co-pilot, navigator, communications officer, gunner, and engineer. However, it was possible for one pilot to man the shuttle; it simply meant that most other functions normally manned by other crew members would be largely unused during those instances. The Imperial shuttle was well known for having ferried Emperor Palpatine himself and Darth Vader to wherever they needed to go. In Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Luke Skywalker is taken on the shuttle to the second Death Star, for a final duel with Darth Vader, his father. After he defeated Vader, and brought him back to his former Jedi self, the Emperor, realizing his attempt to make Luke his new apprentice had failed, attacked Luke with Force lightning. Vader, finally redeemed as Anakin Skywalker, stepped in and killed the Emperor by throwing him down the Death Star II's main reactor core shaft. However, the Force lightning shorted out Anakin's suit's life support system, and shortly after speaking with his son, he passed away. Luke, refusing to leave his father behind, took his body and fled the collapsing Death Star in an Imperial Shuttle. The Lego 10212 Imperial Shuttle contains 2,503 pieces and includes 5 minifigures.
