BrickWars Sets Description Lego Star Wars 10215 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter Ultimate Collectors Series was a Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor. It was known as the Jedi starfighter during the Clone Wars because it was the preferred craft of the Jedi. First used as reconnaissance craft, they were easily adapted to combat when the Clone Wars began. The Jedi starfighter was equipped with Taim Co. sds8/5 twin laser cannons, but could also be modified to carry proton torpedoes. It was a fast and effective starfighter in the field and its performance was only enhanced when piloted by a Jedi. However, the ship's speed did work against its pilot, as it made aiming and firing difficult. To remedy this problem, astromech droids were integrated onto either wing. Full-sized astromechs could not be placed into the starfighter because of its slim build. The size of the ship also restricted it from having an internal hyperdrive. Therefore, pilots wishing to travel great distances would need the assistance of a larger carrier ship that did have hyperdrive capabilities (such as the Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser) or a hyperdrive booster ring. Obi-Wan's starfighter was put to the test while the Jedi was trailing Jango Fett after he escaped him on Kamino. Obi-Wan had to navigate through an asteroid field with his astromech's help while simultaneously evading laser fire from the Slave I after Fett discovered that he was being followed. Obi-Wan was able to maneuver his Jedi starfighter in such a way that it fooled the bounty hunter into believing he had crashed into an asteroid. With Fett back on course once more, the young Jedi gave chase, eventually arriving at the planet of Geonosis.
The Lego 10215 Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter Ultimate Collectors Series contains 676 pieces.
