BrickWars Sets Description Lego 30051 MINI X-Wing Fighter was a starfighter also known as the Incom T-65 X-Wing fighter. It was manufactured by Incom Corporation. This unique fighter had four wings, which would form an X when opened for flight and/or combat if viewed from directly ahead or behind. When landed, the wings would fold back into a locked position. Its wings could remain in the position in flight as well. The X-Wing fighter was the Rebel Alliance's starfighter of choice, as it had a nearly perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shielding, according to a Rebel general. The ship featured a built-in hyperdrive, deflector shields, an R2 unit for navigation and repairs, and a hold for proton torpedoes. It was equipped with four Taim & Back KX9 laser cannons on each wing and Krupx MG7 proton torpedo launchers, each of which could carry three torpedoes. Among the many devices in the pilot's cockpit was a highly advanced targetting computer. Because proton torpedoes were expensive to purchase, the installation of these computers maximized the overall effectiveness and use of them. It had a success rate of 98.7%. The four laser cannons also had special firing settings, including individual fire, dual fire, and quad fire. With each setting, the laser cannons could be fired one at a time, two at a time (from the pair of laser cannons on either the left or right), or all four at once, respectively. During the Galactic Civil War, these fighters were key in the destruction of both the Death Star and the Death Star II. Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles fired proton torpedoes down the thermal exhaust ports of the Death Star and Death Star II. The torpedoes detonated in the reactor core, causing a chain reaction that obliterated the battle stations.
The Lego 30051 MINI X-Wing Fighter contains 61 pieces.
