Lego Technic Star Wars 65081 Technic R2-D2/C-3PO Droid Collector's Set featured R2-D2 and C-3PO. R2-D2 was an astromech droid who was a friend and droid counterpart of C-3PO, and served many years in the Skywalker family. His original masters, the Royal House of Naboo, equipped R2 with many tool-tipped appendages that allowed him to serve as a superior starship mechanic and computer interface specialist. What set him apart from other R2 units and droids in general was his bold personality and temperament. Although he had many gadgets at his disposal, he would often rely on unorthodox means to aid his friends.
C-3PO was a protocol droid. Protocol droids were droids specifically designed to interact with organics. His TranLang III Communicator module and his AA-1 VerboBrain made him fluent in over six million forms of communication, and was equipped with over thirty other secondary functions. In his lifetime he served over forty masters. He is usually seen with his droid counterpart, R2-D2. C-3PO was originally activated on the Cybot Galactica foundry on the planet of Affa, but for an unknown reason was scrapped on Tatooine, where Anakin Skywalker would rebuild him. Afterwards, he continued his life as a protocol droid and even went on to serve Luke Skywalker. There has not been any mention of his "death" at this point in time.
