BrickWars Sets Description Lego Star Wars 7111 Droid Fighter - Lego 7111 Star Wars Droid Fighter from “The Phantom Menace” a droid starfighter was any ship powered by a droid brain. Droid starfighters were used before and during the Clone Wars by the Trade Federation, however, eventually the Galactic Empire created its own version as well. The Vulture droid starfighter was a variable geometry self-propelled Droid starfighter used by the Trade Federation, each battleship carried 1500 droid starfighters. Subsequently, the Confederacy of Independent Systems deployed the Vulture Droids in large number during the Clone Wars. The craft had an insectoid appearance and required no living pilot, but rather a droid brain linked to a Droid Control ship. It has the capability of performing complex maneuvers that would kill an ordinary pilot, but lacked the resourcefulness of a human being, albeit a faster response rate. Vulture Droids can only operate for 35 minutes before requiring to refueled, due to its unusual solid-fuel concentrate slug system, which provide propulsion upon ignition. The Trade Federation remedied this by sending Vulture Droids in timed swarmed rotations. The Vulture Droid measures 3.5 meters in length, maximum acceleration of 3,900g, and maximum atmospheric speed of 1200 kilometers per hour. The weapon systems consisted of four blaster cannons with two per wing concealed in flight, but during combat the wings would split open to reveal the blaster cannons. Additionally, the craft carried two energy torpedo launchers in its arsenal however, while in walker-mode the blaster cannons could not be used with the legs pointed downward, thus relying solely on the torpedo launchers.

Reviews Posted August 23, 2008 by LEGOFAN Star Wars Lego set #7111: This set may not have any minifigures, but in itself has some playability. Here's what I think:Pros: Cons: Even though there was some playability, the fact that there was no minifigure forces me to give it a 6.5/10.
