Lego Star Wars 7119 Twin-Pod Cloud Car from “The Empire Strikes Back” Bespin Wing Guards used the Cloud Car to patrol the skies surrounding the floating mining colony as well as the gambling establishment of Cloud City. The Cloud Car a high atmospheric aircraft consisting of two armor pods, connected by an engine block housing a dual ion engine system and a secondary repulsorlift system. The ion engine is the cloud car’s main propulsion system allowing it to reach speeds of fifteen hundred kilometers per hour. The repulsorlift drive used to increased speed and to perform difficult maneuvers. The Twin-Pod Cloud Car specifically designed for atmospheric flight came equipped with flaps, jet vanes and rudders to improve control. Each Cloud Car pod had a cockpit, the pilot sat in the port pod on the left and the gunner manned the starboard pod on the right. The pilot’s pod has advanced navigational and communication systems, whereas the gunner’s pod entailed a twin pair of blaster cannons.
