BrickWars Sets Description Lego Star Wars 7130 Snowspeeder from “The Empire Strikes Back” was originally a T-47 airspeeder designed for industrial cargo handling. The T-47 was later renamed Snowspeeder after it was widely used at Echo Base at Hoth. The Snowspeeder underwent numerous modifications by the Rebel Alliance to a patrol, reconnaissance and combat aircraft adapting it to climate conditions and environment. Its smaller size, speed and maneuverability enabled the Snowspeeder avoid enemy fire. Dual Laser Cannons, harpoon gun, and Computerized targeting systems armed the Snowspeeder. The Snowspeeder was not equipped with shields, therefore, making it necessary to install armor plating to the hull where it was most vulnerable to enemy fire, which made it much heavier. A highly advanced power plant and repulsorlift engines were installed to offset the additional weight from the weaponry and armor plating.
The Lego 7130 Snowspeeder contains 212 pieces and includes 3 minifigures.

Lego "Shop @ Home" Description Delay the troops in the snowspeeder! On the frozen planet of Hoth, Imperial walkers search for the Rebel's hidden base. Join Luke Skywalker and Alliance Pilot Dack in the snowspeeder as they try to delay the attack long enough for the Rebels to escape. The Hoth trooper uses his radar to locate the snowspeeder. But Luke knows no fear — the snowspeeder is armed with two forward laser cannons and a rear facing harpoon gun. Ages 7+. 212 pieces.

Reviews Posted March 10, 2009 by Tepfren, United States 7130 Snowspeeder is a good set to get some good minifigures (Luke Skywalker, Pilot Dack, and Rebel Trooper). This set has a neat compartmant for the lightsaber handle, but not the laser. Here's what I thought of this set:

Posted August 23, 2008 by LEGOFAN Star Wars Lego set #7130: Not a bad set! Though it is kinda pricey, it's fun! Combining it with the AT-AT walker makes things even better: But concerning the snowspeeder:Pros: Cons: Overall, the set isn't bad at all, but it's price-to-pieces ration sets my rating to a 7/10.
