BrickWars Sets Description Lego Star Wars 7140 X-Wing Fighter from the Original Trilogy, model T-65 manufactured by Incom Corporation, was the main starfighter of the Rebel Alliance and it’s successor governments. The X-Wing is versatile, with exceptional combat performance remained the clear choice amongst Rebel and New Republic Pilots. The X-Wing Fighter has four Sublight Propulsion Thrust engines giving it fast space and atmospheric speed. In addition, equipped with Hyperdrive, the X-Wing was able to enter hyperspace and operate independently without support from carriers. The configuration of the starfighter consisted of two pairs of wings like strike foils mounted on the rear of craft on opposite sides and locked in place against each other. During battle, the wings would fold outward to increase surface coverage for the laser cannons mounted at the tip of each wing. With the wings fully extended, this gave the starfighter its unique “X” like appearance. Primary weaponry on the X-Wing, four laser cannons and proton torpedoes, a secondary weapon such as the concussion missile served as an alternative, however, required an inordinate amount of time to retrofit. Deflector shields and an R2 Astromech droid mounted externally behind the cockpit monitored the craft, provided support to the pilot and made emergency repairs when needed. This Lego Star Wars 7140 X-Wing Fighter set debut in 1999 and will be re-released numerous times in subsequent years.
The Lego 7140 X-Wing Fighter contains 263 pieces and includes 4 minifigures.

Reviews Posted August 23, 2008 by LEGOFAN, United States Star Wars Lego set #7140: This set, along with Darth Vader's TIE fighter and Y-Wing fighter, are the BEST original Lego Star Wars sets! What I think:Pros: Cons: All in all, this is a great set, but it's a bit overpriced. But for an avid Lego Star Wars fan like myself, money is no option when it comes to a classic like this set! I proudly give it a 10/10.
