BrickWars Sets Description Lego Star Wars 7144 Slave I from “The Empire Strikes Back” was originally a Firespray 31 prototype police vehicle, that bounty hunter Jango Fett stole from the asteroid prison Oovo IV. The Slave I was continuously modified under Jango Fett’s ownership to prevent it from becoming obsolete. It became a well armed starship, with two twin blaster cannons, two rapid firing laser cannons, two projectile launchers, each holding a magazine of three homing missiles or a variety of payloads, and a naval mine layer holding seismic charges. The artificial proton torpedoes with mounted homing devices used to tag a ship for tracking purposes and many of these weapons hidden beneath the armor plated hull of the ship. Jango allocated two thirds of the ships interior for upgraded Kuat drive engines and power generators to attain sublight speed of a Y-Wing starfighter. Subsequent to Jango Fett’s death on Geonosis, his cloned “son” Boba Fett inherited the Slave I where he continued to make upgrades to the starship and used it on several missions during and after the Clone Wars.
The Lego 7144 Slave I contains 165 pieces and includes 1 minifigure.

Reviews Posted August 23, 2008 by LEGOFAN, United States Star Wars Lego set #7144: One of my sleekest sets during the time. This was also enjoyable, with so many features. Here's what I think:Pros: Cons: The pros of this set outweigh the cons, and as a Star Wars Lego set, live up to its standards, even going so far as to surpassing it. I give this set a 9/10.
