LEGO STAR WARS 7655: Clone Battle Pack

I really wish that this set is still available today because it is just perfect in all respects. It is small, simple, genius, fun, cheap, easy to build and it is a great army builder.

The set comes with four old Clones. It comes with two regular Clones, one red Shocktrooper and a Star-Corps trooper which is the equivalent of the Elite Clone Gunner in 8014, the new Clone Walker Battle Pack. The helmets are surprisingly detailed, but it is a shame that they only have black head pieces instead of the new Clone faces.

The Clones come with normal weapons; three normal pistols and a sniper rifle are included. I customized the rifle with the use of a black technic piece to give the rifle a more heavy-firing gun appearance.

There is a fair ratio of Clones compared with the Droid Battle Pack 7654, even though the Droids have three more men. The Clones have better guns and they are stronger than the Droids, so four Clones vs seven Droids is a fair battle.

The speeder is small, sleek and simple which races around gracefully with up to two Clones sitting on it. When staging battles, these speeder bikes are useful if you want the Clones to adopt an ambush approach. Their heavy weaponry means that your LEGO Droid army is surprised by the attack and also unable to get a clear shot of the enemy because of the speeder's speed.

The turret is made up of rare maroon and white pieces. A Clone stands on it and fires at the enemy! If you put the turret on a spinning LEGO platform, which is extremely rare nowadays (I happen to be lucky enough to have one), then the turret can spin 360 degrees, hence able to fire at Droids attacking from all sides.

So, a summary of the pros and cons:

PROS:
1) Cool turret.
2) Simple yet genius speeder.
3) Four Clones with detailed helmets.
4) New pistols.
5) Brilliant army builder.
6) Well designed overall.
7) Fun and brilliant for battle scenarios.
8) The speeder glides smoothly on the carpet.
9) Only £7.99 for 58 pieces!

CONS:
1) It is disappointing that the Clones come with black head pieces instead of something more impressive.

Overall, this set is brilliant. I don't know what else to say. It is such a brilliant army builder and it is only £7.99. I am so annoyed with myself for only buying one of these fantastic Battle packs because it is so good and also because the battle packs have been getting £1 more expensive every year, so I would have benefitted if I had bought more of those battle packs when they were in shops. I give this set 9.7 out of 10.

7655 Clone Troopers Battle Pack is great for army-building. It is $9.99, an affordable price, and brings plenty of minifigs and accessories for you to have great displays with.

Pros:
Many different kinds of clone troopers, commander, shock, and regular (x2)
Great speeder (simple but genius)
Turret (for protection)
Many accessories (4 guns and binoculars, I'll take it!)

Cons:
only 4 clones, but I know that battle droids are cheaper to make

Overall, this set's rating is a 9-10, slighlty down from the Droids Battle Pack because of fewer clone troopers.
