BrickWars Sets Description

Lego Star Wars 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring was an Eta 2 Actis-class light interceptor paired with a hyperdrive ring. The light interceptor's popularity with the Jedi earned it the name Jedi starfighter. The Actis-class starfighter was smaller than that of the Delta-class starfighter. It did share some similarities, including the fact that the ship was too small to fit an onboard hyperdrive. Thus, these fighters neeeded assistance when attempting to jump into hyperspace, from either a hyperdrive booster ring, or a carrier vessel. The Jedi starfighter was armed with two blaster cannons and two secondary light ion cannons. The hyperdrive booster ring was a ring usually powered by twin reactors and ion drives, with the ring itself containing hypermatter that provided the attached starfighter with ballast when making the jump to hyperspace. The hyperdrive ring did have its vulnerabilities. For example, after the starfighter made the jump to hyperspace and was left behind, and subsequently destroyed, the starfighter and its pilot woudl be stranded. However, the Jedi starfighters used by the Jedi Order were equipped with adaptable long-range communication relays, which would prevent such instances.

The Lego 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring contains 575 pieces and includes 2 minifigures.

today im reviewing the Lego Star Wars Obi-wan's Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring, set 7661. this set contains 575 pieces. To start off this review I believe this set has great detail from the movie. In this set you get 2 minifigures: Kit Fisto with a green lightsaber, and Obi-wan Kenobi. I'll start off with the Jedi Starfighter. The Jedi Starfighter's wings can be angled downwards or flat. On the sides of the wings there are 2 panels like from the movie which you can move around till your happy. On the left wing is R4's head, but you dont get his whole body. The wings are multi-positional, so they can be angled downwards or flat. It has 2 republic signs, one on each ring and 1 other sign (I forget if its Jedi or another republic). On the front it has to guns, 1 on each wing. The Jedi Starfighter has landing gear as well so that's a good feature. The cockpit's top opens up so you can get inside and the window is a basic Starfighter window. Inside the cockpit there is a joystick and 2 control panels on either side of it. On the back of the cockpit is the 2 light blue jets. I would rate this set 8/10 and more if you had other Star Wars sets like the X-wing, Star destroyer, etc. Thanks for listening.

Lego 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring is a fair set with a blue starfighter.

Pros:
First ever Kit Fisto (Not so great, but worth it)
First ever Blue starfighter
First ever Booster Ring
You can carry it easily from place to place!

Cons:
Fragile pieces, especially the plates covering the outside of the ring
No where for Kit fisto

I will have to rate this set an 8/10, not my favorite set but recommended.
