BrickWars Sets Description Lego 7915 Imperial V-Wing Starfighter, or Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-Wing starfighter was a light starfighter commissioned by the Galactic Republic late into the Clone Wars. It saw continued use after the rise of the Galactic Empire. Its wedge-shaped design was similar to that of the Jedi starfighter (Delta-7 Aethersprite-class interceptors). It was manufactured by Kuat Systems Engineering as well. It was armed with two twin laser cannons, flak guns and proton bombs. It was commanded by a pilot and an astromech, which provided maintenence and flight navigation skills and acted as the co-pilot. The small build of the fighter made it relatively cheap to manufacture, making it one of the most numerous starfighters in the Republic Navy. In battle, the ships would be released from Republic Star Destroyer hangars in swarms, not unlike their Separatist counterparts, the vulture droids and droid tri-fighters. Following the end of the Clone Wars, the V-Wing was upgraded and flown only by the most elite pilots. Its deflector shields were improved and an onboard hyperdrive was added; the ship was also repainted the black and gray colors of the Galactic Empire. The V-Wing's unique wing design led to the development of the TIE fighters, and as a result V-Wings saw much less use as time went on. Reviews Posted March 5, 2011 by Alexander, United States Pro's 1. Movable cockpit with out having to remove it completely from the set like how you had/have to in the previous set 6205. 2. Pivoting wings that move in unison 3. Black color "OH BOO YEAH" 4. Nice looking minifigures. 5. Looks great next to the before mentioned 6205. Cons: 1. Starts with a S and ends with a S. Hint usually is on a sheet that is quite decaley. 2. Off with the poor ole astromech droid's head for placment on the craft. 3. No real place for the fire arm that the pilot has. Remarks: As much as this set looks bad mace, sleek and stylish and is very much improved from the previous version and that. The stickers are such a royal bear and holy heck I botched some up. Can't stand stickers and I shudder at them too. But as a whole this set is great for travel to grandmas house and you have much better playability than the predecessor 6208. Just wish that there could be a place for the astromech droid and I am talking the whole astromech droid.
