Perform in a galactic assault with the Star Wars Venator-Class Republic Attach Cruiser.  This model of Chancellor Palpatine’s flagship in the Clone Wars is a 1170 piece LEGO creation.  While this is designed for 9-14 year olds, even adults can get into this amazing kit.  This detailed set is designed to keep just about anybody busy playing with it.

Bulding the Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser

With two colorful instruction books and a massive 1,170 pieces this Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser took 2 adult testers three and a half hours to complete.  This should keep a 9-14 year old busy for the better part of a complete day.  It will be imoprtant for the child to keep organized during consruction.  The parts come in a variety of shades of gray, and will be best if sorted by color before starting.  Once the contruction has stasrted the detailed step-by-step instruction make the assembly relatively simple.


The Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is equipped with a hidden cannon under the wings.
Its clever design elements score an excellent overall rating.  Just when your child thinks they have discovered all the hiddeen weapons and command postrs, they will stumble across another.  The Palpatine mini figure—complete with cloth tape and wrinkled brow—the sliding gunner, the hidden Cloner Trooper cockpit, the excape pod, the bomb dropper, and the Chancellor’s enormous command center are just some of the many of our favorite features.

What the testers most enjoyed was the way the narrative of this set allowed them to re-enact the ship-to-ship combat seen in Star Wars:  The Clone Wars.  Its also very helpful that the storyline in simple enough to still be enjoyable for your child even if they have not seen the movie.
