BrickWars Sets Description Lego 8097 Star Wars Slave I was a Firespray 31 prototype police vehicle, that bounty hunter Jango Fett stole from the asteroid prison Oovo IV. The Slave I was continuously modified under Jango Fett’s ownership to prevent it from becoming obsolete. It became a well armed starship, with two twin blaster cannons, two rapid firing laser cannons, two projectile launchers, each holding a magazine of three homing missiles or a variety of payloads, and a naval mine layer holding seismic charges. The artificial proton torpedoes with mounted homing devices used to tag a ship for tracking purposes and many of these weapons hidden beneath the armor plated hull of the ship. Jango allocated two thirds of the ships interior for upgraded Kuat drive engines and power generators to attain the sublight speed of a Y-Wing starfighter. After Jango's death, Boba Fett took the ship and followed in Jango's footsteps by becoming a bounty hunter. Under his ownership, Boba did mostly modifications to the ship's armaments to fit his personal preferences, along with other additions such as sensor-masking and jamming devices. The Slave I also sustained a lot of damage during the time Boba used it, and everything but the captain's chair had been destroyed and replaced over time. This chair was the part remaining of the original Slave I.
The Lego 8097 Slave I contains 573 pieces and includes 4 minifigures.
