BrickWars Sets Description

Lego 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor was an Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor. This ship was the sucessor the the Delta 7 Aethersprite-class light interceptors. They were shorter in length and lighter than its predessor. Similarly, it had no onboard hyperdrive and relied on carriers like the Venator-class Republic attack cruiser and hyperdrive booster rings to traverse great distances. The ship was designed at the same time as the ARC-170 starfighters and the V-Wing starfighters, and as such, S-foils were incorporated into the design. These foils would open up and allow the engines to disperse heat more easily, reducing the chances of overheating and preventing damage to the ship. This also meant that these parts of the hull were more lightly armored, which made it vulnerable to enemy laser cannon fire and buzz droids. The interceptor was armed with two laser cannons and two secondary light ion cannons. It was flown by one pilot and featured a full astromech socket if the pilot chose to bring along an astromech.
